José Cohen (co-head of the team “Renal Immunopathology and Immunomodulation in Transplantation”) has been awarded the Great Price of the French Academy of Sciences “Cellular Therapy and Regenerative Medicine” in the “Clinical and translational Research” category. This international Price created in 2012 by the Fondation Générale de Santé is placed under the patronage of the Ministère de l’Éducation nationale, de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche and is one of the different Great Annual Prices of the French Academy of Sciences. This 50,000 euros price rewards the scientific excellence in the field of Cell Therapy and Tissue Regeneration (Grand prix Fondation Générale de Santé). The award ceremony took place on October 13, 2015, at the Academy of Sciences in the presence of Mr. Bernard Meunier, President of the Academy of Sciences.
