Congratulations to Julien CALDERARO, PAWLOTSKY team, winner of the MATMUT Medical Innovation Award

Julien CALDERARO, head of liver pathology at the Henri Mondor Albert-Chenevier University Hospital in Créteil, and head of the ‘Characterisation of the immune microenvironment of hepatocellular carcinoma’ group in Jean-Michel PAWLOTSKY’s team, has devoted a large part of his career to the study of liver cancers and the development of innovative solutions to improve their management.

He was awarded the MATMUT Medical Innovation Prize for his project on Artificial Intelligence for Augmented Diagnosis in Pathology on Wednesday 4 December at the 11th Fondation de l’Avenir awards ceremony for applied medical research, held at the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE).
