Lola ALBERTELLA, awarded the Prix du Stage de Recherche by the Institut Polytechnique de Paris for her work on the primary cilium of human muscle cells.

Lola ALBERTELLA has been awarded the prestigious Biology Department Research Internship Prize by the École Polytechnique Prize Jury as part of her Master 1 Biology and Health internship. The prize was awarded for her work in the Neuromuscular System Biology unit (BNMS) at the IMRB (UPEC), under the supervision of Dr Ludovic MARTIN.

From March to September 2024, Lola ALBERTELLA conducted her research exploring the role of the primary cilium in the physiology of human muscle cells. The primary cilium, a cell structure that is still very little studied in this context, is thought to play a key role in the regulation of fundamental biological functions such as cell proliferation and differentiation. Dysregulation of the primary cilium could be implicated in several neuromuscular disorders.

We warmly congratulate Lola ALBERTELLA on this recognition.
