Post-cardiac arrest syndrome: ORIXHA obtains ANSM authorisation to launch its clinical feasibility study
Orixha, a spin-off from the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire d’Alfort, the University of Sherbrooke and the Institut Mondor de Recherche Biomedicale, co-founded by Renaud TISSIER, team GHALEH, has announced that it has received authorisation from the ANSM – Agence Nationale de Sécurité du Médicament et des Produits de Santé – and approval from the ethics committee for the OverCool study to be conducted at Hôpital Cochin.
The aim of this study is to make two major clinical advances:
– validation of the ability to induce therapeutic hypothermia within 2 hours of resuscitation
– the OverCool study will be a world clinical first for total fluid ventilation.
“OverCool is a historic milestone for total fluid ventilation as, for the first time, we will demonstrate that total fluid ventilation can be safely delivered to adult patients. We are delighted to have obtained the necessary authorisations to make our dream of saving lives with total liquid ventilation a clinical reality”, says Renaud TISSIER, co-founder of Orixha, ENVA-IMRB team Ghaleh.
