The Living Cell Biometrics (LCB) group, which operates at the intersection of LiSSi (Régis FOURNIER) and IMRB (Sophie FÉRÉOL), was honored at the 7th annual BioSmart international conference

The BioSmart International Conference, held in Salerno, Italy, from June 2 to 5, 2026, brings together international researchers and experts to discuss recent advances in biometrics, signal processing, and artificial intelligence as applied to healthcare.

Timothé BENTABOULET, a first-year student in the International Master’s Program in Biometrics at UPEC, received the Best Paper Award, as well as the MDPI Multimedia Partner Award, for his work titled “Geometric Spatiotemporal Quantification of Cell Migration.”

This international recognition attests to the dynamism of the research conducted by the group over the past two years and contributes to the visibility of the scientific activities carried out jointly by the Biometrics team at LiSSi (Prof. Amine NAIT-ALI) and the MUSE team at IMRB (Prof. Frédéric RELAIX).
